About Djinda Sports

Djinda Sports is a sports management company focussed on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander athletes.

Our mission is to create generational impact for our athletes and their communities.

Djinda Sports is an Aboriginal owned and operated sports management business that specialises in the representation of AFL and AFLW athletes.

Who we are

We aim to create a culturally safe environment for our athletes to thrive on and off the field. Working closely with athletes to support them with the day-to-day requirements of playing sport at an elite level. While also nurturing their off-field passions, whether that be in education, business or within the community.

Our Founder and CEO, Jayden Gerrand, a proud Whadjuk Noongar man, created Djinda Sports as a way to combine his passions of business, sport and culture to ensure that all athletes - no matter their skin colour, orientation, culture or background – can thrive in the elite sporting industry.

Our Services

  • Once we understand an athletes goals and aspirations for their future, we’ll formulate a specific individual plan to ensure we can use our expertise to give our athletes and their families the best possible options to accomplish their goals.

  • Using our relationships with team executives and industry experts, we ensure that our athletes are in the best position possible at the bargaining table. We’ll aim to get the best possible outcomes for everyone involved – from the club all the way through to our athletes and their families.

  • Our goal is to ensure that our athletes have the best opportunities possible – on and off the field. We work with our athletes to create bespoke endorsements, speaking engagements, community work and social content to ensure their personal brand shines.

  • We work with our athletes to ensure they have the best media opportunities and that they feel comfortable in the spotlight – coaching them every step of the way to ensure they feel ready to talk to and respond to media.

  • We know that being drafted brings a number of additional requirements to an athletes life – from flights and accommodation, housing re-locations and potential employment opportunities. Our team work hard to ensure the process is as smooth as possible, and that you have everything you need right before you land in your new home.

  • We work with all our athletes on their goals for their career off the field and create personalised opportunities to ensure they’re in the best position to achieve them.
